Many people have always wanted to fly. The three things needed to fly are lift, thrust and control.

Here is a bird. This bird can fly. The bird lifts up into the air. The bird flaps its wings, The bird moves through the air. The bird flies where it wants. The bird has control.

A long time ago people tried many different ways to fly. Some people tried to fly with wings. Some people tried to fly without wings.
