The next morning Bellerophon woke and found a surprise on his bed. It was a golden bridle. He went to Pegasus' favorite meadow. Pegasus trotted over to Bellerophon. Pegasus stood still. Bellerophon put the golden bridle on Pegasus and sat on him. Pegasus was calm. Athena's magic had worked.

The boy and horse became best friends. Bellerophon became a hero. He and Pegasus killed a fire-breathing monster. They were very brave.
