Force

Do you like to float in the water? Do you know how to swim? You know you must use your arms and legs to stay afloat or to swim. When you move your arms and legs it pushes you "up" in the water. You are floating! If you are swimming, your legs and arms can move you forward in the water.

Propeller/Swimmer

To swim fast in the water you must swing your arms around quickly. Keep your arms straight like an airplane propeller. You must kick your feet and legs too. Keep your body straight.

Some swimmers like to race. The race can be short or it can be long. For a short race a swimmer moves his arms and legs very fast. For a long race he moves his arms and legs slower. This helps him have enough energy (strength) to finish the long race.
