Wright Again

First Trip To Kitty Hawk - Thursday, September 6, 1900

The History: Today, Wilbur Wright of Dayton Ohio left for Kitty Hawk, North Carolina on the 6:30 PM train. This would be the first of several trips to this area of North Carolina. The Wright brothers would use the steady winds and sandy hills to test and refine their kites, gliding and flying machines as they developed their controls, lift and propulsion systems.
