Ponds Around The Wrights' 1902 Camp
Taken from Big Kill Devil Hill October, 1902
The ponds, which formed around the camp from rain,
had frozen. The water in their basin, which was used for
washing, was frozen too. They gathered oak firewood and tried
to stay warm; it was too cold to even work.
