Wright Again

Perfect Flying Weather - Tuesday, December 1, 1903

The History: Orville left the brothers' Kill Devil Hills campsite and testing grounds yesterday to return to their home in Dayton, Ohio to oversee the fabrication of the new propeller shafts for the Flyer.

Today, Wilbur, who remained at the campsite, sent Orville a letter. As luck would have it as soon as Orville left the weather cleared. Wilbur lamented that Monday and Tuesday would have been perfect days to test the new machine.

In practical matters, he asked Orville to, "Please bring down my slippers, they will be handy when getting up [at] nights."
