Orville And Two New Propeller Shafts Depart For Kill Devil Hills - Wednesday, December 9, 1903

The History: Bishop Milton Wright recorded in his diary entry, "Orville started at nine o'clock, with his new propeller shaft for Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. (This new (propeller or) shaft was made of spring steel and was some larger than the former ones.)"

Sitting on the train traveling back to reach North Carolina, Orville read about Langley's second failed flight in the newspaper.
