Wright Again

Success Assured. Keep quiet. - Tuesday, December 15, 1903

The History: After yesterday's first trial of the Flyer, Wilbur telegraphed this message to his father. "Misjudgment at start reduced flight [to] one hundred twelve[feet]. Power and control ample. Rudder only injured. Success assured. Keep quiet."

Orville noted in his personal diary that the winds were 5-6 meters/second. The brothers repaired the front rudder and frame damaged in yesterday's partially successful flight.
