Wright Again

Not Enough Wind To Fly - Wednesday, December 16, 1903

The History: Orville's personal diary recorded: "Commenced tearing down the machine ready for packing."

The brothers finished the repairs on their damaged Flyer. The machine was placed on the tracks in front of their campsite building in preparation to try to fly it again. The wind was dying, now down to 4-5 meters/second [9-11 miles/hour].

Wilbur and Orville waited throughout the afternoon, hoping the winds would increase, but that did not happen. They brought the machine back into the camp building.
