Carbon dioxide gas is heavier than air. When it is poured into the bag it will sink to the bottom displacing the air. The scale will tip to indicate the heavier carbon dioxide gas. Remember the gas is invisible so it looks like magic!
ASSESSMENT: Extension can be used for assessment purposes. Can the student communicate what they observed?
