SCIENCE CONCEPT:

Air is a gas which is a form of matter. Air exerts pressure.

STUDENT OBJECTIVE:

The student will discover that although it is invisible, air exerts pressure in all directions and the effects can be observed.

OVERVIEW:

Students will discover the importance of air pressure and pouring a liquid.

PREPARATION TIME:

10 minutes (This experiment is best done outside.).

LESSON TIME:

15 - 30 minutes, depending upon extension time and exploration time.
