SCIENCE CONCEPT:
- Environmental conditions, temperature, density, and pressure,
are continually changing.
STUDENT OBJECTIVE:
- The student will observe how the Earth heats up during the day
and how it slowly cools down at night. This will give the student
an understanding of how the greenhouse effect works.
OVERVIEW:
- In this activity, the student will conduct an experiment using
the sun, thermometer, and a plastic bag to duplicate the
greenhouse effect. Students will then be able to observe and
understand how the Earth heats up during the day and cools
slightly at night. Students will record their data and develop
their own conclusions.
