Now You See It, Now You Don't

 MATERIALS NEEDED:

  • sponge or paint brush per student
  • water container per 2-3
 

STEPS TO FOLLOW:

one Take students outside to a flat, shiny surface. Smooth cement, clear plastic, saran wrap attached to a heavy piece of cardboard will do.

two Have students take their sponges of brush and paint a design on the shiny surface.

three Students will paint for 10 minutes.

four Let pictures stand alone for several minutes.

five Take class back outside to observe their paintings.

six Record student observations on chart paper or chalkboard.

seven Continue observations until all the water has evaporated.
