WHY? Bats vary in their characteristics of what they look like. But within the two main groups, the microbats and the megabats there are similarities that make them apart of that particular group. In looking at bat pictures we can learn a great deal about them. And bats are important to our world. Over the last few decades, much has been learned about how bats help keep our environment healthy. ASSESSMENT: Can the student communicate what they observed?
