lesson.

Hand out the various books on gliding birds, and modern aircraft that
utilize winglets to the different groups that will work on the reports.

Walk around the classroom to answer questions as they come up from
the various groups.

Ask the student groups to compile their material and write down
highlights to present to the class.

As an extension you could ask the students to design and draw a new
aircraft that would utilize the gliding abilities of the soaring birds.
