WHY?
|
|
-
If we could view our world through a telescope daily we would
observe how on a molecular level everything on our planet is in motion or
at rest. Students who are given the opportunity to observe this motion
in practical ways can understand in a better way the information that men
like Sir Isaac Newton has passed onto them. Even with a simple
experiment like the playing card and coins, students see how the Laws of
Motion apply on every level of life.
|
ASSESSMENT: Can the student communicate
what they observed?
|
 |
|
|
Student is able to communicate how inertia is at 'play' with the
playing card and coins and give a practical explanation of Newton's First
Law of Motion. The student is also able to give another example where
Newton's First Law of Motion is at 'play' in their everyday lives.

Student is able to communicate most of the aspects of how inertia is
at 'play' with the playing card and coins and give a practical
explanation of Newton's First Law of Motion. The student is also able to
give another example where Newton's First Law of Motion is at 'play' in
