Chair or stool that spins around (office chair or piano stool)

Two phone books

A friend to help you

STEPS TO FOLLOW:

one Sit in the chair with the phone books in your lap.

two Have a friend spin you around until you are spinning quickly.

three Hold one phone book in each hand and extend your arms out straight.

four Observe what happens. (The spinning slows down.)

four Now move the books in toward you as you spin.

four What happens? (The spinning speeds up.)
