WHY?
-
Gravity is a force that exists between any two objects. It
acts to pull the objects together. In the experiment with the
wheel and the marbles, the center of gravity falls as the
wheel rises up the cardboard ramp. Gravity makes the speed of
falling objects increase at the same rate, whatever their
weight. The size of the force of gravity that pulls an object
down is the same as its weight.

ASSESSMENT: Can the student communicate
what they observed?
Student is able to communicate the reasoning of how as the center
of gravity falls it makes the wheel roll up the cardboard.
Student can also describe how gravity affects them everyday.
