MATERIALS NEEDED:
  • old magazines
  • glue
  • construction paper
  • scissors

two Pass out the magazines and ask the class to cut out as many pictures of insects that they can find.

three Hand out the construction paper and tell the children to glue their insect pictures onto the paper. Help them write the names of the insects under the appropriate picture.

four If a child has more than one page of insect pictures staple together in a book.

five Ask each child to come up to the front of the class and have them share their picture book of insects with their classmates.

six Display the insect books on a table so that during free time the children can browse through the books.
