Map the Myth - How to

MATERIALS NEEDED:

masking tape

STEPS TO FOLLOW:

one Make a big M on the floor 3-5 feet in diameter with masking tape.

two Have the children crawl over the letter. Have them repeat the name of the letter as they crawl over it.

three Have the children use the "cross-lateral crawl", where the right leg moves with the left arm and the left leg with the right arm.

six Vary the crawl by adding the letters to myth ..y...t...h.

five Read a story or myth with the children.

six Together, create a map about the myth on the floor with the masking tape.

seven Have the children crawl around the myth.
