MATERIALS NEEDED:

access to hot plate or radiator or floor heater.

plate or paper plate

pencil

sheet of paper

crayons or felt pens

scissors

needle

thread

STEPS TO FOLLOW:

one Get a paper plate.

two Cut off the rim.

three Draw a design on the circle.

four Starting on the edge of the circle, cut a spiral.

four Punch a hole in the center of the spiral.

four Tie with a 12-18 in. length of yarn.

four Hold the snake by the yarn above the heat source .

four Ask "What happens?"
