Tissue Balloon

MATERIALS NEEDED:

tissue paper

glue

scissors

hair dryer

STEPS TO FOLLOW:

Glue sheets of tissue together to make approximately 2-foot lengths. You will need 8, 2-foot lengths. Stack together.

Trace a petal shape onto the top tissue.

Cut out eight petal shapes.

Glue the edges together to make a balloon shape. Use glue very sparingly.

Strengthen the balloon by gluing a collar of tissue around the opening and a circle of tissue to the top.

Inflate the balloon with a hair dryer.

Observe. (The balloon will rise.)
