The directory bar is a row of buttons below the location box in the Netscape document window that can be used to discover new and cool Web pages, keep up with the latest news in business and technology, search for topics of interest, search for people, and download the latest Netscape software.

What Will I Find When I Click on the Directory Bar Buttons?

What's New Button Hundreds of new Web pages are on put on the Internet everyday. Netscape provides a brief synopsis and a link to some of these new pages.

What's Cool Button Netscape's "cool team" surfs the net for Web pages that are particularly cool, funny, and/or interesting and provides a brief synopsis and link to these pages.

Destinations Button Destinations is the place to go for the latest headlines, business research tools, and more.

Net Search Button Use the net search button when you want to locate Web pages that contain information about a specific topic or concept.

People Button Want to send e-mail to someone but don't know their e-mail address? Click on the People button and search for it. Want to send a Christmas Card to your Aunt Fanny in Sequatchie, Tennessee but don't know her street address? Click on the People button and search for it.

Software Button Click on the Software button to download the latest versions of Netscape software.
