Messages box Below the tool bar is the folder and message boxes. The message box (on the right) should look like this unless you are not the first person to use mail on this computer. The message box contains a list of mail messages that are in your computer. Any unread messages are listed in bold text. If you click on one of the messages it will be displayed in the window below. The message box has five columns of information about your messages
  1. Subject: A short phrase describing what the message is about.
  2. Purple flag: Click in the purple flag's column to mark an important message.
  3. Green Dot: clicking in this column will change a messages from read to unread and back.
  4. Sender: The name of whoever sent you the message.
  5. Date: The date the message was sent according to the sender's computer.
