Folders box To the left of the message box is the folder box. The folders box has three columns.

  1. Folder: The name of the folder
  2. Unread: The number of unread mail messages in that folder.
  3. Total: The total number of messages in the folder..
It has in it all the different groupings of messages that you or Netscape have made. Whenever you get any new messages Netscape puts them in the mail folder labeled "Inbox". In this example it is the only folder because you haven't gotten that much mail yet but later you can create new folders in order to organize your mail. To create a new folder select Netscape Mail from the Window menu and then select Create New Folder from the File menu. A small window should pop up where you can enter a new name (like "student suggestions", for example) and the click on the button labeled "OK". To transfer messages to that folder just drag the messages from the message box to the folder you want them in.
