If, when you tried to get your mail, you got a message saying "No POP mail server has been specified in your preferences" then the easiest thing to do is get your local computer "guru" on the case. They should know exactly what to do. If you don't have one don't panic, it's not hard to fix. Read these instructions, print them out if you have a printer, and then follow them step by step.
  1. Find out who your Internet Service Provider is. Call them and ask for the name of the incoming POP mail server.
  2. Select "Mail and News Preferences..." from the Options pulldown menu.
  3. You will get a window that looks like this.
  4. Click on the tab labeled Servers at the top of the window. You should now see this.
  5. Enter the name of the Incoming POP mail server in the box labeled Incoming (POP) Mail Server.
  6. Click on the button labeled "OK".

That's it. you should now be able to get mail without any problems. Click on the Back button in the tool bar to continue.
