
The toolbar is normally displayed as pictures and text like the
example above. However, you can choose to display it as text only or
as pictures only by changing your preferences in the OPTIONS pull-down menu.
If you get to a page (such as this one) where it might be important
to see the pictures, simply click on the Image button and Netscape
will load them.
Click on the white bar. When your pointer turns into an I-beam,
type in the Internet address (URL) of the page you want to visit.
Then click on the Open button in the window.
Click on the white bar. When your pointer turns into an
I-beam, type the word you are searching for. Then click
the Find button in the small window.

The toolbar is a row of buttons at the top of the Netscape document
window that can be used to navigate the Web. reload pages and images,
open new locations, print the current page, find specific words on the
current page, and stop transfers in progress.

InactiveThe Back button allows you to move
backwards to revisit pages that you've seen during the current
session. The Back button relies on a history list to
remember where you've been. You can see the history
list by clicking the word Go
in the Pull-down menu at the top of your screen and
holding down the mouse button. When you have reached the
last item on the history list, the Back button will become
pale - indicating that you cannot move backwards any
further.

InactiveThe Forward button allows you to move

Use the Reload button to reload
the page after the transmission has been interrupted
during the downloading process.

This is a cool button. Since graphics
take longer to load than text, you might choose to not automatically
load images as you navigate the Web. (You can do this by positioning
your pointer over Options in the pull-down menu at the top of
your screen. Hold down the mouse button and drag your pointer to
Auto Load Images. Then release the mouse button.)

IconNow when you go to a
new page, instead of seeing pictures, you'll see a
little icon that indicates that there is usually a picture there.

Use the Open button to move to
another location on the Web. When you click on the Open button,
a small window will appear on the screen that looks like this:


The Print button sends a copy of
the current page to your printer.

Use the Find button to locate a
word on the current page. Click on the Find button. A small
window will appear on the screen that looks like this:


The Stop button stops the downloading
process in progress.
