Inside A Jet Engine
A jet engines makes a plane move by adding energy to the air and then shooting it out the back of the engine. The different pieces of the engine are the inlet (1), fan and compressor (2), combustor (3), turbine (4), and finally the nozzle (5). Click on the different pieces of the engine to see what happens to a chunk of air (like the little guy on the left) inside.
